A Life Lived to the Fullest

Late Saturday, February 1, Dave Phillips went home to be with the LORD. Though saddened by this sudden loss, his family looks forward to celebrating Dave's beautiful life with the many who loved him dearly.

Dorothy, Pam and Janet invite you to join them tentatively Friday, February 7, 2014 at 5pm in Huntington Beach for Dave's memorial service. A potluck dinner will follow the service. More details will be communicated as final arrangements are made.

In lieu of flowers to show condolence, Dave's family would be honored if you would send a donation to one of these organizations whose missions were dear to Dave's heart.

Angeles Crest Christian Camp
Dave was on the board of directors for Angeles Crest Christian Camp, a camp in the San Bernardino mountains. Their mission is to see lives changed for Jesus Christ, which as we all know was Dave's life mission as well. Dave's daughters, Pam and Janet, spent many years hiking, rock climbing, swimming, and enjoying God's breath-taking creation at Angeles Crest. A scholarship fund has been established in honor of Dave and will be used for students who cannot afford to attend the camp. Dave would be thrilled to know your giving could help youth spend time at a camp that he cared so deeply about.

Naomi's Village
Dave's granddaughter, Lindsay, first visited this children's home in Maai Mahiu, Kenya three years ago and has gone back every year since. Dave quickly shared Lindsay's love for the children at Naomi's Village and their mission to glorify God in serving Kenyan children that they may grow to impact their world. Dave's own life reflected the importance of helping bring hope to the hopeless as Naomi's Village strives to do everyday. Lindsay, Pam and Janet will travel to Kenya this July to serve, equip and love the Kenyan teachers at Naomi's Village's school Cornerstone Preparatory Academy. Donations will help fund their trip to share the love of Christ with the people of Kenya. Dave was proud of his girls' hearts for Kenya and spreading the love of Christ to the people there. -Check donations can be made out to "Naomi's Village" and sent to 2212 Loon Lake Rd, Denton TX 76210

The family is exceedingly thankful for the love, support and prayers they have received. Dave's patriarchal impact on the lives of so many is evident in his passing. Lives have forever been changed because of the countless ways God used Dave as an instrument for His glory. Dave will be missed, but now he is finally home.
